NYFW Look 1 - Vintage & Glitter
It's here! NYFW has officially arrived and as you can see in the Fashion News section of the site, and over on IG Stories, I've already been attending some previews and presentations. But today (Thursday) is the first official day of shows and it's going to be a lot of fun! So with that, I wanted to share look #1 for me from NYFW, which I wore to many of the presentations and previews on Wednesday. So let's take a look:
For the first look for NYFW, I went vintage. Vintage Chanel that is! This gorgeous dress comes by way of What Goes Around Comes Around, one of the premier places I know to get your vintage handbags, shoes and fashion. When I first saw this piece, I immediately fell in love. I mean, who doesn't love a little Chanel in their lives, right?
The accessories are equally as important as the main look, in particular during NYFW. So first, let's talk shoes, and we're talking about one of my new go-to pairs: These glitter slouchy booties from DSW. Look for an in-depth article for these soon because I love them! They're comfortable to walk in and the slouchy nature in addition to the glitter puts them very much on trend. They are perfect for NYFW but also work equally as well for a night out on the town.
Next up, we're talking about this gorgeous clutch from Devi Kroell. I call it the "Celestial" clutch because it has stars on it, which go perfectly with my jewelry (more on that below). It's a wooden purse that fits the essentials - that is make up, keys & key-chain wallet. Depending on the size of your phone, you might need to carry it on your hand.
Finally, no look is ever complete without sunnies or jewelry, right? These Modo Eyewear sunnies are from Eyecessorize and added a bit of glam while adding to the vintage inspiration. The jewelry is from APM Monaco and is part of their Emmene-Moi Dans Les Etoiles collection, which translates to "Take Me to the Stars". It features astronauts, the space shuttle, and other astronomy-derived objects! It's super fun!
Which piece is YOUR favorite from this first look? Let me know in the comments below!
As always, thank you for reading!
