Who is Dr. C?

Dr. Christie Ferrari is a Johns-Hopkins trained clinical psychologist specializing in the subtle social dynamics that most people feel but don’t have language for.

She has trained and worked across top medical institutions including Johns Hopkins Hospital, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her background also includes neuropsychological training at both Jackson Memorial Hospital and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and research at the Mailman Center, giving her a deep, full picture understanding of how emotional and relational stress shows up in both the brain and body across the lifespan.

Across these settings, she saw a consistent pattern: relational stress doesn’t just stay in friendships or families, it shows up physically first. Anxiety spikes, disrupted sleep, muscle tension, chronic pain flare ups, and emotional overwhelm often appear before people have the words to explain what’s happening.

Before these patterns were widely talked about online, Dr. Ferrari was helping individuals and families navigate them in real time, giving her a unique, full picture understanding of how social dynamics develop, escalate, and can be handled effectively. She also stepped into a Director role within a private practice in New York City, where she contributed to clinical strategy and program development. Over time, she saw that most people weren’t looking for more insight, it was knowing what to do and say in the moments they felt caught off guard and that’s what led to her to focus on coaching.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Ferrari built a large online platform, where she began sharing real time insight on mean girls, relationships, confidence, and social dynamics with a broader audience. Through her platform, Dr. Ferrari has reached a large audience of women navigating these exact challenges in real time, becoming known for breaking down complex social dynamics into clear, actionable guidance on what to say and how to respond without creating more tension, awkwardness, or making things worse.

Today, Dr. Ferrari works with women navigating mean girl behavior, toxic work environments, friendships, family tension, parenting and everyday social situations that leave them second guessing themselves, across every stage of life.

Her insights have been featured in publications including The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, SELF, Newsweek, NBC News among others. She is also a sought-after speaker, having participated in numerous panels.
