NYFW Look 3 - Pops of Color with MILLY

Hi all,

New York Fashion Week continues and today we're talking about my Friday afternoon look, which I wore to MILLY,  Brock Collection and Jill Stuart. similar to my previous look, the idea was to offer a fun pop of color to a black top, and I did so with the help of MILLY. Let's take a look:

Color Pops for NYFW

Friday was one of the coldest days of February - of course, right? So while I knew I was going to wear MILLY this afternoon, I needed to style properly so as to avoid freezing. The look started with a gorgeous black velveteen fitted blazer from MILLY. I'm a big fan of fitted blazers, and this one was on trend and kept me warm. It features a single button closure, allowing you to easily go from buttoned to unbuttoned.

Underneath the blazer, I styled a black Commando bodysuit as you have seen me do in the last few looks as well. It's just so cold and I love how the Commando bodysuits fit and add a very-necessary tight layer of clothing. Highly recommend investing in a few as they're great to layer over in the winter and perfect as well to wear by themselves in the Summer.

Waist down is where I wanted to add the pop of color, and I do so with this incredible silk pleated maxi skirt from MILLY. It's a super fun skirt, and perfect for the upcoming Spring & Summer seasons. Today I styled it with black, but you can easily swap for other neutrals as well - it's important to let the skirt shine.

NYFW Accessories

We've mentioned before how important accessories are during NYFW - and everywhere else as well, of course! I've been a BIG fan of white booties and these RAYE from REVOLVE are top notch. They are pointed-toe which is perfect to give the illusion of a longer leg and make you appear taller and feature a side zip closure.

The bag is my go-to that you've seen many times before: The Prada Cahier Belt bag. I can't say enough about how much I love this bag. Perfect for the belt bag trend we're in, but also future-proof as it can be worn as a clutch or cross body or shoulder bag as well.

One of the must-haves of the season is a good paper boy hat, so I incorporated this one partly to also keep my head from freezing. When it comes to jewelry, I added some pretty pieces from APM Monaco, which you've seen me wear before as well. The sunnies come by way of Eyecessorize and Robert Marc and you've also seen them before.

Let me know your thoughts on the outfit and which one is your favorite piece in the comments below!

xoxo,

Christie
