Dark Florals in Milan
I’m loving dark florals for Fall right now, so it wasn’t a surprise that I wore them on my first night out in Milan, pre-MIPEL/MICAM and pre-Fashion Week. So read on for details of this fun and more on Milan itself!
As always, you can shop each piece you see below, and don’t forget to leave a comment letting me know your thoughts on this dark floral look!
Milan for Fashion Week & MIPEL/MICAM Conference
I’m beyond excited to be in Milan today and for the next week, as I’m participating in the MICAM/MIPEL conferences that take place before Fashion Week. In case you’re unfamiliar, these are leather goods and accessories conferences and this will be my first time attending so I’m excited. It won’t be my first time at Milan Fashion Week, having attended September 2017. The city is already becoming one my favorites in Europe.
I’ll be here with my friends Lindsi Lane and Marni Danielle - be sure to go check them out on Instagram. On the first night, we got off the plane, checked in and went for a cocktail and appetizers at Arya, an amazing rooftop terrace with a view of Milan. On our way, we stopped and took in the views at the gorgeous galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
My Dark Floral Look
I’ll be writing more in the future about dark florals as I’ve been loving them of late as they’re another great fall trend, but let’s focus on this piece. It’s a gorgeous navy dark floral velvet wrap dress that can also be worn as a kimono! Talk about versatility! You could style as a kimono and wear it with jeans and a white button-down, for example, or with black leather pants and a bodysuit for a night out.
For this particular look, I styled it with a great pair of modern velvet cowboy boots (hello, western trend infusion!) and then added a classic off-white quitled Chloe bag to the mix.
More to come from Milan and more looks on the way!
