Testing the new Clarins #NextGenSerum

Hi all,

We turn our attention to beauty today and, in particular, serums. On today's post, we’re talking all about one of my latest favorite beauty products from Clarins, the Double Serum, which has received a bit of a face lift.  Recently, I’ve begun paying more and more attention to my skin as I age and I'm happy to have tested the double serum. Read on to find out how it worked!

Why do we need a serum?

Serums are meant to be used after cleansing the skin and before moisturizing. They are designed to deliver ingredients to the skin that a moisturizer is unable to with the intent of targeting wrinkles, boosting skin radiance, evening skin tones, and firming the skin. This is why they also tend to be the most expensive products in a skin care line.

Let's get the boring stuff out of the way, shall we? And that is price. The Double Serum is priced at $89, which is a rather competitive price considering most other serums can cost you upwards of $100.

This particular one though was made for all skin types and all ethnicities making it a fool-proof option for you to try.  The Double Serum has two dials on the handle. You use one or the other depending on the climate of where you are and your skin type. The small drop on the dial is for combination and oily skins and is recommended to be used during the summer and warmer and humid climates. Whereas, the larger drop on the dial is for normal, dry, or sensitive skin, and is recommended for colder climates.

My Impressions

I had the opportunity to trial and test this product over the last few weeks and I'm very happy so far. It has been proven to leave my skin visibly smooth, it is reviving skin radiance while firming the skin and evening skin tone after 7 days. It's efficient too: I only needed to use one pump at a time.

What I saw was visibly brighter and more hydrated skin. I’ve been suffering from dry skin as of late, and it has gone away since I started using the product daily. I will most certainly be incorporating this product into my daily skin routine moving forward.

Have you tried Clarins' Double Serum? Are you willing to give it a try? Let me know in the comments below.

As always, thank you for reading!
