A Spring Look ft. Pastels & Crochet

Hi all,

Spring is here and that means several things - birds are singing, flowers are blooming, temperatures are rising and, oh yes: colors are coming back! Today's post is about this fun and easy-to-put-together Spring look. Let's dive right in:

Crochet & Lace for Spring

So we already touched upon getting colors back into our wardrobe since Spring invites pastels and soft hues to come out of our closet. But the other items you need to start pulling out of the closet are crochet and lace pieces as well. We usually stay away from wearing crochet in the winter months because it's a fabric that prefers the warm Spring & Summer months. Today's look though features a top from Luba that is perfect for the season. The shirt - obviously - is see-through, so you might need to wear a tank underneath. I chose to go with a sports bra instead. The top itself is super easy to style and this day, I opted for a fun pair of denim.

Pastels for Spring

To finish off the look, I added this new pair of Etienne Aigner platforms. You probably know by now that platforms are super in right now and these are very comfortable. I know you're probably saying "Christie, those look tall and hard to walk in!" Let me tell you that so far, so good! Plus, as I'm quite petite, the platforms give me the extra height I need in the city! Look for a "Hot Shoe Alert" after I put them to some extra use.

The purse is the finishing touch of the look and went perfect with the pair of shoes. It's from Salar Milano and it's super cute and fun. The colors again make it feel very much at home during Spring and the upcoming Summer season as well. Also planning on doing a special Hot Bag Alert soon, so be on the lookout for that as well.
