Lou & Grey Outfit & New NYC - Flatiron Store

Hi all,

Today's post is all about this outfit from Lou & Grey and the fact that they just opened a brand new store here in the Flatiron district in NYC! So let's talk a little about both:

If you live in NYC or are planning a trip soon, make this new Lou & Grey store a stop in your day. I shared on my instagram an image of their incredible dressing room. I mean, you probably just want to stop to try things out and experience the dressing room anyway.

Lou & Grey's style to me is all about cute, everyday pieces that can easily be incorporated into your work wardrobe and easily transitioned to your weekend wear. Lou & Grey uses high end fabrics like silk and velvet but are at an affordable price point, which makes them good purchases, if you refer to some of my previous articles.

I thought this outfit was pretty representative of their style. Here, I'm wearing a great white cami which I paired with a blue cape jacket and a pair of denim. These pieces are incredibly versatile and can be worn for multiple occasions, including brunch, running errands, work, or for a casual dinner! This is a simple, yet chic outfit. But if we're talking versatility, let's look at how to style these pieces depending on where you're off to:

Heading to a casual dinner or brunch?  Grab a fun pair of booties or thigh high boots with the three pieces, like I do here. It's comfortable but still chic thanks to the booties or boots.

Running errands around town? Swap out the boots for a pair of great slippers or slides. Hey, you need the extra comfort if you're going to be walking or running around!

Headed to work? Because jeans are only appropriate for the office on casual Friday's (at most offices at least),  swap out the pair of denim for a pair of trousers. Then, you probably want to leave the booties or boots at home and switch to your go-to pump. Hint: Probably is not probably. It's definitely :)

The two separates on top can also be styled in multiple ways. For instance, the cami can be styled under another sweater or blazer (see carousel above for my picks).  Not crazy about camisoles? The cape jacket can also be worn with a basic colored turtleneck or tee. These options can easily go from work or running errands to brunch or dinner!

As always, thank you for reading!
