Classics - The Answer for the closet full of clothes but nothing to wear

Hi all,

Here’s 1 thing to do if you constantly feel like you have nothing to wear though you have a closet full of clothes: Opt for timeless classics, like this gorgeous Tory Burch outfit, for example. Let’s dive in and see why classics are always in.

Closet Full, but Nothing to Wear

Two main behaviors contribute to this “nothing to wear” issue: Buying and Keeping. It’s easier than ever to shop these days, making it easy to have an overflowing closet with clothes but still making us think we have nothing to wear. There are a few contributors as to why we can overbuy. Shopping can be a form of stress relief for some, whereas, it can help others fit in when they know they’re wearing the latest “in style” trend.

When you’re shopping it’s important to ask yourself why you’re buying something, how it fits into your lifestyle, what purpose can it serve, and how many times you’re going to wear something.

As for keeping items, this happens likely because of one of 3 reasons: We think we may need it one day, we’re not sure what to do with it, or there’s an emotional/nostalgia connection to it. So if you’re not wearing too many pieces in your closet, ask yourself why? For those nostalgia pieces (i.e., wedding dress, etc) there will be exceptions to keeping them but just try to have one container for these pieces, as opposed to half of your closet being a shrine to your past.

Two solutions to having a closet filled with clothes you’re actually going to wear is to have it filled with pieces that match your lifestyle and to ensure you have classic fits/prints/ and solids that will be timeless like that of Tory Burch’s.
