NYFW Day 4 - Woven Bags + Snakeskin

Hi all,

Excited to bring you a brand new video and article from NYFW. We’re of course winding down the NYFW coverage for the time being and will soon switch to Spring trends, which is also a part of today’s article. Woven-style bags like the one I’m wearing here, and available at Farfetch, are one of the hottest bag trends, so look for more on this bag and the trend soon. But for now, let’s just jump right in.

Veronica Beard NYFW

Before we talk bags though, we need to talk outfit, right? This outfit corresponds with Monday of NYFW, the day of the Veronica Beard show, and I wanted to wear the brand. You guys have seen me wearing Veronica Beard many times in the past, and I can’t help it - I love the brand! For their first show ever, I styled this green snakeskin skirt with this gorgeous jacket. I wore snakeskin a few days prior, but this green skirt really caught my eye so I paired it with the brown snakeskin boots. Linking similar skirts and jackets below here and below. Underneath the look, I also styled a black bodysuit for warmth. To finish off the look, I’m using these gorgeous earrings, also available at Farfetch.

The color green

I’m a big fan of green in general and it is one of the reasons I fell in love with this skirt in particular. The psychology behind the color green tells us that it’s a color associated with a relaxing effect. Green is also said to have the power to help people adjust to a new environment, so if you’re changing job, or moving to a new house, adding some green might be a good idea.

Woven Bags

I’ve been eyeing this bag for quite some time, to be honest. This is a new Bottega Veneta bag, that is also available at Farfetch. So why this bag for this outfit? 2 reasons: First, I felt the red give the whole look a much needed pop of color on a gloomy day. For second of all, woven bags are very much going to be a big thing this Spring & Summer and this bag in particular is one of the reasons why. We’ll talk more about woven bags and this Bottega in the future, so be on the lookout for that soon!

Do you like the bag? Let me know in the comments below, and as always, thank you for reading!

xo,

Christie
