Miami Swim Week Outfit: Alice + Olivia Green Hues

Hi all,

Today's Miami Swim Week post all about this green outfit that I wore on Friday in the evening to Lolli Swim, For Love & Lemons with Vampped and KAOHS. I received a lot of compliments on this beautiful outfit from Alice + Olivia so let's take an in-depth look!

Alice + Olivia Combo

To attend the shows at Swim Week, I was looking for statement pieces - you gotta make an impression, right? But without overdoing it. This blouse and skirt combination from Alice + Olivia proved to be the right choice. The outfit selection started with the mini skirt. Unlike perhaps NYFW in February, Miami Swim Week allows you to bare a bit of skin. Not only is it Miami, but it's always really hot because it's July. The skirt was great to keep me cool.

I added the beautiful sheer, floral top because I felt it complemented the skirt nicely. Not only in color, but it also carries a bit of sexiness from the skirt as it's sheer, but it also adds only the right amount thanks to the long sleeves. But it is sheer, so you should plan to wear a tank or bra.

To finish off the look, I went with my current go-to espadrilles from Schutz

Together or Separate

One of the beauties of this outfit is that the pieces can be worn as separates as well. You've seen how they look together on the images and hopefully InstaStories. Let's look now at wearing them individually.

Alice + Olivia Skirt

My favorite piece of the ensemble because of its versatility. It's bright and colorful for Summer but can also transition rather easily to Fall given the hue of the green, making this a skirt that you can wear almost year-around. In fact, look for me to style this skirt again for Fall, very soon! For Summer, the espadrilles worked really nicely, but you can also dress it down with flat sandals if you don't feel like rocking stilettos or espadrilles.

Alice + Olivia Sheer Floral Blouse

I know I said the skirt was my favorite, but it's almost tied. This top is great for many occasions as well. It worked for Swim Week but it's great for work too. Plus, it has the added bonus that is can very easily go from day and the office to night and happy hour or dinner. As mentioned above, be sure to wear a light tank underneath for a more conservative look or just a bra or sports bra for night time.

Which item from your wardrobe would you style with your favorite from these two pieces? Let me know in the comments below!
