LFW Look: Styling Key Pieces Different Ways

Hi all,

It was my first London Fashion and I can't tell you how exciting it was to be a part of it. I have attended NYFW for several years, but it's my first time going overseas. Prior to arriving in Milan, I stopped in London to attend the Tommy Hilfiger show - look for recap next week. For London, I decided to style some outfits using pieces from previous ones to show how versatile they are and give YOU ideas on how to style your own pieces. We begin with this one - do you recognize where some of the pieces come from? If you comment below now - without reading - and get it right, you win my appreciation and love!

Styling Key Pieces Different Ways

So for London, I was going for a chic, yet edgy look as I knew I'd be doing some shopping prior to the shows. So in come two pieces I wore during NYFW, but styled together here. First, this amazing velvet jacket from GUESS. You'll see I paired it with the red slouchy boots in NY and silver booties here. I love the military vibe it has and that it is, in fact, velvet - a huge trend for fall.

To layer underneath the blazer, I opted for this fun message tee. You might recall this outfit was the first one worn during NYFW. These two pieces were the cornerstones of the outfit, to which I added a pair of cropped light denim from French Connection. I am quite petite in real life (5'1) and so I love that these are actually still cropped and hit me at the ankle, as opposed to appearing like normal denim, which is what usually happens to me. So it was a great fit!

Going into accessories now, and we're talking shoes: metallic boots and shoes and super in for Fall. These are from Zara and from their new collection. So hurry before they're gone! I used the remaining pieces to elevate the outfit. Hence the selection of these elegant Chopard sunnies and stunning Dior J'Adior bag. Did you know the bag can also be worn as a clutch if you detach the strap? Versatility and investment, I'd say!

Thank you for reading as always, and do let me know if you have comments on the outfit. do you have a favorite piece? Between the NYFW looks and this one, incorporating the same pieces, which one is your favorite?

xoxo,

Christie
