MFW Look: Casual Glam

Hi all,

Milan Fashion Week continues and on the menu this day were Etro, Samuele Failli, Sergio Rossi, John Richmond and Gianvitto Rossi and I wanted to go for a casual glam look as I knew it was going to be an long day but you still have to glam up in Milan, right? Today's outfit features a dress/top from The Kooples and denim from Alice + Olivia, so let's go in-depth:

Casual Glam in Milan

I recently came across this The Kooples lace dress and love it! While it's technically a dress, I opted to wear it as a top. It comes with a slip, but I chose to go without it as the black sections across the chest area cover it completely making this a fun dress if you want a bit of glam and sexy with the lace, but still remain conservative. The detailing on the dress is spectacular with its luxe embellishments.

I found the dress to be so feminine, yet a great piece to add a masculine or edgy accessory to balance it out, or go the very feminine route as well. If you decide to go the dress route, simply pair with a great pair of booties or knee-high boots and add a leather jacket draped across the shoulders - talk about feminine and edgy!

For the pants, I wore my new favorite pair of denim from Alice + Olivia. As of writing, they're low in quantities so if you like them, hurry! Look for these to make repeat appearances as I'm in love with the fit.

When it came to accessories, I started with the shoes. These are Charles & Keith and are just $39 at time of writing. Here's another similar pair too from Nine West if you're looking for white shoes (trending right now!). The clutch is from one of my favorites: Khirma New York. Jewelry is actually quite old from my jewelry box but similar ones can be found here and here. Lastly, these Prada sunnies have been my go-to sunnies as of late (plus, I only brought like 2 pairs. :)

How would you style this dress/top? Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo,

Christie
