What You Need for the Perfect Self-Care Bubble Bath

Hi all,

Excited to share with you a new blog post today and we’re talking about the importance of self care, and how bubble baths can play into that. In today’s society, it’s totally commonplace to put work, family, and other items first and ourselves last. But what if we could simply take 15-20 minutes to ourselves to relax, decompress and renew? I’m excited to have collaborated with Amazon Handmade, Amazon’s destination for handcrafted gifts & décor, to talk about self-care and the importance of giving handmade gifts this holiday season. I love knowing that when I buy gifts from Amazon Handmade, I am supporting small business makers. So without further delay, let’s talk bubble baths!

Bubble Baths and Stress

Did you know bubble baths actually help us relax and decrease stress? Warm baths allow our muscles to relax after a stressful day and promote the release of endorphins, which help block pain and stress signals to getting to our brain.

Taking a bath right before bedtime can also help us fall asleep faster. Our body temperature dips when we are sleeping and a bath can mimic this process because when we take a warm bath our temperature dips immediately after a bath - putting us to bed that much quicker.

What You Need for a Great Bubble Bath with Amazon Handmade

Candles, lots of them.

They’re so beautiful to watch and set the mood perfectly. These featured here are made of beeswax and smell incredible, and the Spa Day candle is not only a visual reminder to relax but the fact that it’s lavender can help you unwind and relax after a long day.

A bath caddy

The perfect shelf to help you keep your phone, laptop, vino, or bath goodies close but dry. Two options for you: oak and walnut.

Salts & Lavender

Bath salts, lavender soap, and clay mask are the final touches for any relaxing bath.

Body brush and loofah

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Get yourself a body brush and a loofah as they’re perfect to help you exfoliate during your relaxing bath.

Now, of course, you could take these 15-20 minutes to yourself on a Friday or the weekend. But what about trying it also on Monday evenings? Mondays are … well.. Mondays, and having something to look forward to every Monday evening can really make a big difference. Try it out and see how it feels!

xo,
