Staying Active with Athleta

This post was sponsored by Athleta. Opinions are my own!

Hi all,

Today we're talking workout clothes and office wear. Two items that you don't necessarily associate together, right? Sure, athleisure is a thing, and it's my stay-at-home or quick errands uniform, but how can we combine these two and challenge ourselves to stay active even during the work week? That's where Athleta's #WorkInYourWorkout challenge comes in!

Don't forget to comment below letting me know your thoughts on the outfit and how you stay active during the workday!

#WorkInYourWorkout & Staying Active during the workweek

The challenge at hand: how do we infuse our workday with activity? How do we remain active during the workday? And how do we remain looking chic while doing so? This week I took the #WorkInYourWorkout challenge to be more active and since the weather was nice, I opted to either ride a bike or walk to my meetings around town instead of taking the subway or a car. Overall, being more active made me feel better - more accomplished. The mentality of walking or biking to your first meeting makes you feel like even if something goes wrong, by that time you've already accomplished something -  being active.

But in order to do so, and in particular with this heat, you need the right outfit. If you walk from where I live to SoHo or West Village in a suit, you'll arrive as if you had taken a shower - drenched!

Active Wear for the office

This white button-down is a perfect example of what we're after. It's lightweight, thin and perfect for work or a meeting. The shirt features also a button detailing running down its sides making it trendy and offering a modern take on your regular white shirt. It also features a thin, sharp edge collar, making it also very much on trend for Fall.

Waist down, I opted for great fitted active-wear pants. They fit perfect, are true to size and are very comfortable making them a great buy. Paired with the white-button down, which covers the hips, no one will be able to tell you’re wearing active wear clothing to a work meeting.

To finalize the outfit, and be prepared for those cold offices, I also added this black sweater which I have tied around my waist for my commute.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to seeing you in the comments!

xo,

Christie
