NYFW Look 2 - Black With a Pop of Pink
Day #2 of NYFW is officially in the books and I got the chance to see (and hopefully you too, with IG Stories - go watch them before they disappear - plus stay tuned to YouTube for full recaps coming today!) several amazing shows and presentations, including Noon by Noor, Cinq-a-Sept, Stuart Weitzman and Ulla Johnson. For my outfit, I opted to wear a Cinq-a-Sept piece throughout the day, and then complemented it with some accessories and color. Let's dive right in:
NYFW Look Details
The centerpiece of today's look was the Cinq-a-Sept dress. Yup, you read that right. It's a dress, but one of the benefits of being short is that I was able to style it as a coat in this case. The dress, with its satin-encrusted buttons and jewels is a beauty. You could also treat this dress as an LBD, and style it simply with some cute heels and be good to go. But given my height and the weather, I opted to style it as a coat. I unbuttoned the lower buttons to ensure that my skirt was able to peak out and offer a fun pop of color for the look.
Speaking of the skirt, it's a TOME piece that is a beautiful two-toned, pink skirt with a bow (hidden for this outfit). It's a great option for Valentine's Day, but also Spring & Summer. You could style it with a chunky knit for colder temperatures in Spring, or simply a turtleneck, or Tee, depending on the temperatures.
Given the weather in NY during Fashion Week (20s, negatives in C), it was VERY cold, soI opted to style it with a black, long-sleeve turtleneck to keep me warm. This one is from Commando.
For the accessories game, I opted for two familiar faces (if you saw look #1). First for the jewelry, I went with some APM Monaco pieces from their newest collection, layered over the turtleneck. For the shoes, once again, I went with sparkly DSW booties - can you tell I'm a big fan of these?
Continuing with the accessories, I grabbed this gorgeous Mark Cross white structural box bag. It's a great size to fit most of your essentials and perfect for outings. I personally do not have many white bags, but looooved this one. For the sunnies, I was looking for a fun gold pair, and I found these round ones from Robert Marc thanks to Eyecessorize and they're are super fun.
Which piece is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below and, as always, thank you for reading!
