Parisian Vibes Pre-Paris Fashion Week

Hi all,

This week is Paris Fashion Week and I'll be attending for the first time, so needless to say I'm super excited! As it might be expected, with the excitement, I've been inspired by the city, so I'm styling outfits, some sort of Parisian element immediately appears. As is the case with today's look, so let's dive right in:

Parisian Vibes

I'm sure you've seen berets all over your feed as of late. And with good reason, right? They're cute and add just the right amount of Parisian vibes. However, I wanted to go about it a bit different, and used the outfit and the architecture of NYC for this Paris Fashion Week-inspired look.

You know? French do fashion so well. One of the things I think of when I think of Parisian fashion (aside from the obvious items of course) is great versatile pieces that can be worn multiple ways. That way, you really make that piece go far by wearing it all sorts of ways.

These mules from DSW are an example of that, in my opinion. They are trendy and modern, but also chic and versatile. The heel is not super high so as to prevent you from wearing it during the day, but high enough to lengthen the legs. They can be worn with neutrals like I did here, or with color. Overall, it's a great shoe to have as we transition into Spring.

The look here has some French vibes and features an all-black palette with culottes (these are from TOME, but I also found similar more economical culottes here) and a black turtleneck as it's still cold in NYC. I opted to pair with some fun accessories, like these great statement earrings and cute faux leather newsboy cap.

What do you think of the look? And how do you add Parisian vibes to your looks? Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo,

Christie
