Styling a Skirt For Every Season

Hi all,

Today I'm talking about a fun statement piece that's not only perfect for summer but also for fall and winter. This Alice and Olivia skirt is so fun for summer thanks in part to the pattern and ruffles. But the rich jewel tone is also perfect for fall and winter making this an incredibly versatile piece. Given the versatility, design, and pattern of the skirt, it is a great investment piece as you'll be wearing it for years to come. Check out below for more style inspiration:

Styling For Summer

For a fun summer night?

Pair with a classic white button down and tuck the shirt in the skirt or tie a knot. Finish the look with a pair of strappy nude sandals and a fun straw bag.

Going dancing?

Pair with a bodysuit, strappy stilettos, and a clutch. For jewelry, either layer thin necklaces or go for a great pair of statement earrings.

Going for a casual look?

Pair with a white tank and knot the shirt in the middle. Finish the look with a pair of white sneakers and a fun shoulder bag.

To the beach?

Style with a cute bikini whether one piece or two and add a fun sandal and beach bag.

Styling for Fall

Going to dinner?

Same as summer. Pair with a classic white button down and tuck the shirt in the skirt. Swap out the shoes and pair with a pair of closed toe pointy toe pumps and a great clutch.

Or you can style as I did here with an Alice + Olivia long sleeve top.

Going dancing?

Same as summer as well, but just swap out the stilettos for a pair of over the knee boots. And layer a black leather jacket.

More casual look.

Follow the summer styling, but just add a black leather jacket and drape it across your shoulders.

Styling for Winter

The skirt can definitely work during winter, but reserve it for going out so you don't have exposed legs out in the elements. Opt for thigh high boots, turtle neck and jacket or a chunky knit.

How would you style this skirt for the different seasons? Let me know in the comments below!

As always, thank you for reading!

xoxo
