NYFW Outfit #6 + Femininity Meets Edge
We've looked at casual and athleisure looks worn during this past NYFW and now we're going to talk about a more feminine look that I wore to attend Badgley Mischka, Alice + Olivia, Mansur Gavriel and Zac Posen - who all share a more feminine vibe.
How to Layer Lace
The centerpiece of this outfit was this beautiful black lace piece from Amira Haroon - perfect for the feminine vibe I was going for. I didn't want to take anything away from the lace so I had to be careful with what I'd style underneath. Enter this simple cream-colored crop top for none other than Zara. Once I tried the look on, I saw how well these two pieces paired together so the top part was settled. How we finish the look now?
One of the strongest trends right now is that of fishnets, and in particular, fishnets worn underneath distressed jeans. I wanted to channel that vibe for this to add a bit of edge to the feminine look - as I always like to do. The lace and fishnets, I thought looked great together so it settled. To finalize the look, I grabbed these gorgeous No. 21 shoes from The Shoe Box.
I was about to step out of the house when I remembered: It's February. In NYC. It's cold. So I grabbed a white leather jacket and styled it off the shoulder. For accessories, I chose to go for a black wide-brimmed hat and added a yellow pop of color with this beauty from Senreve.
