The Classic White Top But with a Twist

The Classic White Top But with a Twist

Hi all,

The white top is the most classic piece you can possibly have in your closet. It is a wardrobe staple, as it incredibly versatile and can be worn to any occasion. Because it's such a classic, sometimes it can be boring. That's why I love when classics get a twist! I love how Storets modernized the white button down by adding a choker.

A Classic with a Twist

Choker's are very on trend right now with the 90's trend. While some may think this top can only be worn on a night on the town, you can easily unfasten the clasp and pull the fabric back for a more conservative look. I've already worn it this way to work- just tucked into a pair of black wide-legged trousers. However, you can also pair with any other neutral paired pant or striped pants since white goes with everything after all!

Adding Some Edge and Sunnies

For today's look, I was grabbing drinks with a friend in NYC and decided to stick to a more edgy look so I grabbed my go-to pair of distressed denim. I know: I've been living in these as of late! I then paired the look with a great black bootie but you can switch these out with a strappy sandals as well. To finish off the look, and survive on a sunny day, I grabbed a pair of tortoise shell sunglasses from Eye Buy Direct. I liked the design so much, I got it also in black, so look for these sunglasses to make many appearances soon!

As always, thanks for reading!

xoxo,

Christie
